Learn the skills and strategies required to make your business succeed in the Internet search engines and trading on eBay … in one day, in plain English.

This free one day seminar for Rushcliffe businesses will give you the skills and confidence you need to kick-start your Internet business ambitions. It’s a dynamic, practical day, with real life examples. We’ll keep the group small, so that we can discuss your own e-business needs and issues.

Join us at The Sanctuary restaurant near Radcliffe on Trent where we will make tough Internet subjects easy to master.

We'll start the day with coffee from 9:00, followed by the first session starting at 9:30: Search Engine Secrets. We’ll have a buffet lunch from 12:30 to 13:30. And then at 13:30 we will have our second session: eBay Means Sales. The event will end at 16:30 with an opportunity to ask more questions and carry on networking with other Rushcliffe businesses.

Morning session: Search Engine Secrets

Getting your business found in search engines like Google is one of the hottest topics for businesses at the moment. Every company regardless of its size wants to take advantage of the business opportunities offered by search engine optimisation.

This half-day session is designed to keep you informed of the latest developments in search engine marketing, and provide you with practical steps you can take to grow your business by using these techniques

We will be covering how search engines list websites for free and using paid placements, how to purchase listings that guarantee your company at the top of the search engine results, and techniques for building sites that search engines “like.”

Afternoon session: eBay Means Sales

Thousands of small businesses in the UK are now using eBay to sell their products online. With almost 10 million users and 8.7 million visitors each month, eBay provides SMEs with a powerful tool for selling online. We will discuss the important issues you need to know about operating your business on eBay, and provide you with the tools and techniques to get you started selling online.

This half day workshop is designed to:

  • Give you tips and techniques for improving your business performance on the web
  • Help you to start selling on eBay
