Establishing an E-Business Strategy

This workshop is aimed at senior people from SME’s and highlights the benefits of using information and communications technology (ICT) strategically to increase business performance. The Workshop takes a step-by–step approach to write an e-business strategy, with group sessions throughout to enable the delegate to apply the principles to their own company. The workshop encourages the delegate to ask themselves a series of questions about their business, and examine how technology can help them achieve their objectives.

This includes guidance on how to:

  • Think strategically about your company’s objectives, which products or services to sell online and how to find your position in the marketplace.
  • Identify Key activities within your business to see if they can be streamlined, simplified or converted into an electronic system.
  • Examine a range of enabling technologies that could make your business more effective.
  • Consider the obstacles to implementing new technology and the need for skills analysis and training plan.
  • Understand the basic principles of marketing and techniques of online marketing.
