2005 eCommerce Awards

Time is running out to enter the 2005 eCommerce Awards

With the deadline to enter the 2005 eCommerce Awards fast approaching (Friday 29th July) the opportunity to achieve regional and national acclaim for your business is slipping away and with it, the chance to win £50,000.

Aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the national Awards, now in their eighth consecutive year, offer a fantastic £50,000 cash prize to the business which has demonstrated the best use of Internet and Information Communication Technology (ICT).

To be in with a chance of winning the top cash prize and the prestigious title of National eChampion, businesses must first apply for the regional awards which are free to enter. For every East Midlands category winner there is a £2000 cash prize, courtesy of the East Midlands Development Agency (emda).

2004 regional category winner Michelle Begy of East Midlands-based creativeparties.co.uk, sung the praises of the Awards which offer businesses more than just a cash prize. She said, "the experience of going to the awards is amazing and reinforces the fact that you are doing a good job with your business and it’s being recognised. Whatever the outcome, the event provides an ideal networking opportunity and should you win an award the prize money is a substantial cash injection for your business."

Run by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Interforum, and sponsored by BT and emda, the awards are open to any UK business employing up to 250 employees who have used ICT to improve their business.
