The Challenge

Champions approached the programme for help in equipping its staff with key digital skills in SEO, website development and social media advertising. It also wanted to access financial support and advice to help bring a number of digital projects to fruition, including upgrades to IT infrastructure, systems and software to enable better remote working, client monitoring and reporting, and enhancing its provision of digital, creative and video services.

Digital Growth Programme Solution
Champions staff accessed 72.5 hours of workshop support in a host of subject areas to bring staff up-to-date with the latest digital techniques. We also provided £56,000 worth of grant funding toward the purchase of a host of new hardware and software, including the creation of a new Digital Hub, in Rushcliffe, which will enable Champions to provide an in-house video production service, which is currently outsourced.

The Impact
The creation of the new Digital Hub will lead to the creation of nine new jobs plus an apprenticeship. It will achieve annual cost savings of approximately £60,000 and an estimated £40,000 of new sales in its first three months of operation.
