What’s New In Search 2018
Breakfast Seminar

Our always-popular session on all that’s new in the world of Google & Bing returns. Ian Lockwood will walk you through the latest updates to Google’s algorithm, how changes to the presentation of search results could affect you, all the new AdWords and Bing Ads features recently released and the latest industry data & test results demonstrating what really works in the worlds of SEO & PPC.

The world of search engines continues to develop at a rapid rate, with an ever-greater focus on mobile devices and increasingly, voice search. It’s important that businesses stay on top of these developments to avoid getting left behind or falling foul of an update they didn’t see coming.

This 90 minute seminar covers all the important changes in the world of organic and paid search across Google and Bing.

The seminar assumes no prior knowledge of search engine optimisation or pay per click advertising, with all topics fully explained and questions from delegates answered as part of the session.

Who should attend:
Any business for whom search engine marketing is important or individuals who work in the areas of web development, content creation or digital marketing.

Seminar will cover:

  • Mobile-First Indexing – Google is moving to deliver all search results based on crawling the mobile version of websites. How does this impact businesses?
  • Developments in AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) – Google continues to push the development of its open standard for high-speed mobile web pages, which may now become part of wider HTML specifications.
  • New Google Search Console – Google has rolled out the new Search Console, with several new and very powerful features. Learn how you can utilise these to your benefit.
  • Voice Search –The growth of digital assistants and smart speakers has led to a surge in voice search. Understand how this could affect your market.
  • New Search Results Features – Make the most of new features like multi-faceted featured snippets to get maximum exposure in organic search results.
  • New PPC Features – Discover new parts of Google AdWords and Bing Ads that can improve your performance and make managing campaigns easier.

Seminar outcome:
The seminar will provide delegates with the knowledge to take advantage of new search features and protect themselves from changes to search engine algorithms that could otherwise harm their rankings.
